“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
I have often rolled my eyes when I heard Nike’s slogan, “Just Do It”, when it comes to my exercise routine. Truthfully I’m not sure I can call my exercise program a routine, since it’s so inconsistent, but I’m going with that word for now. If nothing else I can say that I am routinely inconsistent with my exercise. Which is why just hearing those three little words would sometimes work my last nerve. But I’m woman enough to admit that there is much to be learned from that slogan, and not just as it relates to exercise or sports activities.
For years I talked, read and dreamed about writing. I did everything, but write. But here’s the thing. Writers write. Regardless of what else writers do, we write.
With that truth embedded in my mind and spirit, I decided that this would be the year that I moved from aspiring writer to writer. I decided to just do it, at least with regards to writing. That regular exercise thing is still under consideration. 🙂 So here I am—a writer who is doing it and is hard at work on her first romance series.
I look forward to sharing my journey and my stories with you. I also look forwarding to hearing about your journeys. Writing is one of my “just do it” moments. What are some of yours? Do you have something that you have dreamed or talked about for years, but have not acted on? Why? I would love for you to share your stories with me as I share mine with you.
Peace, Love and Joy!
